Great Yarmouth and Gorleston Volleyball Club aims to provide the opportunity for anyone with an interest in volleyball to train, play and reach their individual potential within a friendly club atmosphere. We train adults and juniors.
GYGVC was set up in April 2009 to allow people in East Norfolk to try volleyball and take it up should they wish. The club has grown rapidly to the point that we have around about 30 different junior members and 22 adult members already with this due to increase further week by week. The club has been awareded grants by both o2 and Sport England to enable them to purchase important equipment. We are also looking for a corporate partner to help us progress even further.
We take part in several local, regional and national competitions for both junior and adult teams.
The club trains on a Monday evening at Ormiston Venture Academy. The Junior session is 6-8pm with the adults following 8-10pm.
