Are you up for fun, adventure, incredible experiences and making new friends?
Are you up for fun, adventure, incredible experiences and making new friends? Are you looking for something to give you the edge in life? Then welcome to the Air Cadets! We are a UK-wide cadet force with more than 40,000 members aged between 12 and 20 years, and 20,000 adult volunteers aged 20 and over.
The aims of the Air Training Corps (ATC) are to promote and encourage a practical interest in aviation and the Royal Air Force among young people; provide training which will be useful in the Services and civilian life and encourage the spirit of adventure and develop qualities of leadership and good citizenship.
The ATC is a voluntary youth group which is part of the Royal Air Force Air Cadets (RAFAC) and the Royal Air Force (RAF) and is supported by the Ministry of Defence.
Learn to fly, learn skills to lead expeditions, compete in sporting competitions, become target shooting marksman, join a band, learn about aviation and aerospace, gain BTEC qualifications, Duke of Edinburgh Awards, attend camps and courses in the UK and abroad - this are just some of the many activities and opportunities that are on offer when you become a member of the Air Cadets.
And there's one more important thing - it's A LOT of fun!
We parade at the Squadron HQ on Monday and Thursday evenings 19:00 - 21:30.
We also do events over the weekends and occasionally on other weekdays.
We do not parade on bank holidays
