Norfolk Knights are a Wheelchair Rugby club (Est. 2016) with the aim of bringing this exciting Wheelchair Sport to Norfolk. In forming this club we have tried to take account of some of the key barriers to participation, and actively reduce or remove them, in order to build and promote an inviting club environment:We’re creating the opportunity.
We’re providing the key equipment.
We’re selecting accessible locations/venues.
We’re focused on minimising member costs.
Whilst longer-term we would love to be able to field a classifiable team in a competitive league, we are first and foremost about building a social team for both male and female disabled participants. We are open to anyone from the age of 18 interested in learning more about the game.
We also encourage able-bodied volunteers to join us to train, become assistants, chair mechanics, coaches and referees.
Our club insurance covers both disabled and able-bodied players.
We usually train on a Saturday at Wymondham Leisure Centre, Norwich Road, Wymondham, Norfolk, NR18 0NT
