Offering you the opportunity to experience the Olympic sport of Fencing.
So you want to learn to fence? Whether fencing is something you've always wanted to try, you've recently taken part in a taster session, or you just want to try something new, we're sure you'll enjoy our beginners courses. All courses are led by one of our qualified coaches, and include full kit hire and insurance as part of the price.
More dates for our 2020 courses will be added shortly! If you're interested in learning to fence do contact us as we can schedule in new beginners courses depending on demand!
Our club is split into three sections based on age: Musketeers (7-10), Juniors (10-14) and Seniors (15+). Courses in all sections start on the intake nights detailed above.
Courses are tailored to be age specific but generally follow the weekly format of:
Week 1 - Learning the fundamentals of Fencing
Week 2 - Refining your attacks
Week 3 - Strengthening your defence
Week 4 - Tactics of Fencing - applying what you know during a bout
The current timings and costings of our beginners courses are as follows:
Musketeers, for ages 7 - 10, 5 week course costing £25, runs from 7.30 to 8.30 pm.
Juniors, for ages 10 - 14, 4 week course costing £25, runs from 7.30 to 9.00 pm.
Seniors, for ages 15+, 4 week course costing £30, runs from 7.30 to 9.30 pm.

We meet at Ormiston Denes Community Sports Centre, Yarmouth Road, Lowestoft, NR32 4AH. Fencing starts at 7.30pm and runs until the following times based upon your age group:
Musketeers (aged 7 to 10) - 7.30 to 8.30 pm
Juniors (aged 10 to 14) - 7.30 to 9.00 pm
Seniors (aged 15+) - 7.30 to 9.30 pm
