Kings Lynn Triathlon Club
c/o St James Swimming Pool
Providing an environment for triathletes of all abilities and experience to train and compete together.
Our club aims to provide an environment for triathletes of all abilities and experience to train and compete together.
We offer a range of training activities across each of the swim, bike, run disciplines as well as brick (bike/run) training, transition and strength training. In addition to training, we organise a range of club races and social events throughout the year.
Our members race locally, throughout the UK, mainland Europe and further afield.
Training and competing as member of a club will improve your enjoyment of triathlon. We have members who are training for their very first race, GB age groupers and everything in between, so whatever your experience or fitness, membership of our club can offer you something in return. Our aim is to increase participation for everyone, not just the elite.
Membership of KLTC does not in itself grant you a race license.
For that, you either join the BTF (Triathlon England) or pay for a day race license on a race-by-race basis.
As a member of King’s Lynn Triathlon Club, you will be entitled to attend any training sessions held by us and some other local clubs.
Run/bike coaching tend to be out of season, but training sessions happen throughout the year.
Unless a session incurs costs, for example using a swimming pool, the club sessions are free.
As a KLTC member, you can also race in Cycling Time Trials organised by other clubs, such as our friends at King's Lynn Cycling Club
We are a non-profit organisation and any profits made will be used directly within the club to help support it.
We are waiting for our TriMark Club Bronze status, meaning the BTF are content we have all the necessary safeguarding in place to formally start a junior section.
This is in its infancy and our only junior-specific training session is open-water swimming but, when possible, we have structured most of our training sessions to allow juniors and adults to safely train at the same venue, making them great for family training.
With the exception of open-water swimming in the summer months, our club does not offer junior swim training or coaching because of limited pool resources. If your junior triathlete is interested in improving their swim, we recommend West Norfolk Swimming Club and there is the Dolphin Swim School for learning to swim.
Age 8+ (Tristart) to Tristar2 (12yrs) are free to join, but they must be registered by, and have a full paying adult member with them at any training session.
